This website, michaelparagon.com, is run by Michael Paragon, an independent design, branding and website consultant based in Barcelona, Spain. I am responsible for the personal data collected through this website.

What data I collect and why
When you contact me
If you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address and anything you include in your message. I use this only to reply to you and, if we work together, to manage our project.
When you book a call
Bookings are handled by TidyCal. When you book, TidyCal collects your name, email address and any notes you add, and shares them with me so I can prepare for our conversation.
When we work together
For a website review or project, you may share your website address, goals, documents, or access details. I use this information only to deliver the work you’ve asked for, and I treat it as confidential.
Website comments – are turned off
Technical data
Like most websites, my hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. My website also logs the addresses of pages that aren’t found, so I can fix broken links.
Website statistics
I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular. This only runs if you agree to it in the cookie banner.
Legal basis
I process your data because you’ve asked me to (replying to messages and bookings), because it’s needed to provide services you’ve requested, because I have a legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working, or, for website statistics, because you’ve consented.
Who I share data with
I don’t sell your personal data or share it for marketing. I use a small number of trusted services to run my business:
A Cloud Above: website hosting
TidyCal: booking calls
Zoom or Google Meet: online sessions
Google (Gmail): email
Each of these services processes data only as needed to provide its service.
International transfers
Some of these services are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by recognized safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long I keep your data
Messages and inquiries: up to two years after our last contact
Client records: for as long as needed for the project, and afterwards as required for accounting and tax purposes
Comments: until you ask me to remove them, or the post is deleted
Technical logs: up to 30]days
Your rights
You can ask me to:
- see the personal data I hold about you
- correct anything that’s wrong
- delete your data
- limit or object to how I use it
- send you your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent you’ve given, at any time
To make a request, email [your email]. I’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. In Spain, this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
